Philosophy

Aloha United Soccer Club is dedicated to develop soccer players in a safe, competitive fun environment where each player is given the ability to express themselves on the soccer field. Coaches will facilitate the learning of each player by providing practice sessions that are safe, competitive and fun with the use of small sided games and activities that are match related.

Practices

Practice sessions will be progressive starting to introduce the technical aspect, striving to introduce the tactics of the game. We aim to ensure that all players are comfortable with the ball at their feet mastering through continuous practice vital skills such as dribbling, passing, control and shooting.

Parents should expect from their team

- Good Coaching

- Good Communication/ Organization

- Good Competition

Coaches should expect from their players

- Good work ethic

- Good Commitment

- Good team mates

With the combination of these expectations we feel that winning will become a direct result.

Playing time is a vital part of the learning process and Aloha coaches aim to give each player 50% playing time during a game in league play. For players to develop they must be involved in competitive games as much as possible. However, the coach will make the final decision on this based on many factors including practice attendance, attitude, and work ethic. Coaches will communicate any situations where players may expect less playing time.

Through this philosophy all Aloha Staff and Coaches hope that your soccer player will learn to love the game and be given tools that they can use in later life, strengthening them as an athlete and young person.
